The night flashed bright with blinding light for an instant before descending back into darkness.
A few seconds later an earth shattering roar of thunder shook the skies making Tink tremble in fear and shock.
Aby widened his palm ever so slightly and peeked at her curled into a ball, "You scared of thunder?" His voice carried part concern and part mockery.
“I'm not scared of anything” Tink rebelled while still shivering in his cupped palm
“Indeed.”
“Why don't you just take us home.” Tink cried as she pulled his hand closer trying to use it as a blanket to shield from the cold
“We don't have a home Tink.”
“We would have a home if you weren't so creepy.”
“Not my fault humans have an innate prejudice against demons even if its one as beautiful and as marvelous as me.” Aby shrugged
“If you didn't act so weird around children, maybe they wouldn't mind you having a few horns.” Tink sat up to face Aby while wrapping her arms around her legs
“I don't act weird.” Aby protested
“You become something else at the sight of kids.” Tink pressed unyieldingly
“I love them.” Aby admitted
“That's weird, indecent and immoral.” Tink chided and Aby's eyes seemed to glow brighter for a split moment
“Do you think I wouldn't toss you into the rain right now?” He threatened
“Yes you wouldn't. Because you don't want to go through the stress of looking for me under the rain.” Tink replied instantly
“Strangely you're right.” Aby admitted while looking away
“I'm always right.” Tink said, a smug smile on her lips
“Don't push your luck Bell.” Aby gave her a side eye that made her giggle mischievously
“I like it when you call me Bell, you should call me that more often.”
“In your dreams.”
“I bet if I was a child, you wouldn't mind.”
“Yes, because children have no ulterior motive when asking for something.”
“On second thoughts, do you like me because I look like a child?”
“You look nothing like a child.”
“Common, Aby... Don't be shy”
“I only hate you slightly lesser than I hate others, don't get any ideas”
“Kill joy.” Tink pouted
“Why won't you just get us out of here, being under a bridge isn't helping with the cold.” she complained soon after
“I love watching nature in its purest form.”
“But I hate rains and cold.” Tink sounded aggrieved
“Then find your way out.” Aby replied clearly unbothered.
Tink curled up into a ball while mumbling to herself, “I dare you to threaten me one more time and see if I won't toss you into the rain.” Aby said with a wicked smile
Tink knew that smile and wisely kept mute, her face full of indignation as she plotted her revenge.
