A pitch black tear appeared in the air releasing a foul stench of decay Eluisan wrinkled her nose up in disgust and covered it with her sleeve.
She looked towards the portal to see Aby stepping through it with a weary expression.
Eluisan who was about to nag and chide him for using such a filthy portal had a pause as she studied him carefully.
There was no physical wound but he had black smoke leaking from different parts of his body and his aura flickered unsteadily.
“Abyssi what's wrong with you?” She rushed to his side and slipped one of his hands over her shoulder to support him.
Aby glanced at the budding young woman beside him, his mind flashing to the little wimp he rescued on a whim and a small smile formed on his face.
“Don't worry about me little witch, I'll be fine.” His voice was tired as he dragged himself forward but Eluisan was not about to let him be.
“Did you get into a fight with someone?”
“Who is it?”
“Who dares injure my Abyssi like this, I swear if I catch the person...” Eluisan ranted as she moved slowly with Aby towards his room in the mansion.
“Why didn't you even open the portal to your room directly?” Eluisan complained as she strained against his weight as he was leaning more on her as time went
“Wanted to check if my pet was still alive.” Aby replied
“Of course I'll still be alive, what can kill me?” Eluisan puffed her slowly budding chest with false pride
“Your stupid experimental spells will.” Aby chuckled and Eluisan felt her chest deflate before wearing a pout.
“Do you think I don't dare to throw you on the floor?” She threatened, glaring at Aby and trying to sound dangerous but Aby just smiled at her, his smile sending shivers down her spine forcing her to turn away with a tomato red face
Soon they reached the door to Aby's room and he stood straight shrugging Eluisan away,
“I need some rest, go do whatever you were doing.” he entered and slammed the door before Eluisan could peek in.
“What's he hiding in there? Won't let me in after so many years, stupid stupid Abyssi.” She harrumphed with puffed cheeks before stomping away.
...
Eluisan returned to her workshop, a little wand in hand and a grimoire on the table to continued practicing her spells as she worked on a potion that kept changing colour with every spell.
About an hour later.
She slumped into her chair with a sigh, wiping away the beads of perspiration on her forehead, she then looked towards the door with worry etched on her face.
“How is he doing, let me go check on him.” She whispered to herself before standing up and tiptoeing towards his room.
Getting to the door the waved her wand and cast a spell causing her to turn translucent and intangible.
She then walked through the door into a room with almost absolutely no light, she grumbled under her bed as she had to cast another spell that allowed her to see in the dark.
What appeared before her was a room so well organized and impeccably neat that just by standing there she instantly felt out of place.
Every part of the room gave off a sense of harmony that made it seem like even a single strand of hair present would ruin everything.
She looked around in wonder, books arranged on hanging shelves with perfect symmetry.
Seven picture frames depicting almost everything one could imagine arranged in a geometric sequence.
A small reading table and chair exactly parallel to the bed and adjacent to the hanging shelves.
And on the bed was Aby, laying perfectly straight, his blanket covering him with absolutely no crease.
She walked towards him softly trying not to make a single sound not out of fear of waking him but out of fear of ruining the harmony even further.
Soon she was beside his bed, she wanted to touch his forehead but with him lying at the exact centre of the bed she couldn't reach him without leaning in.
She closed her eyes unwilling to see the blanket crease as she placed a knee on it and leaned in towards Aby who had yet to even flinch.
She placed a finger lightly on his forehead and flinched, a moment later she wonder why she flinched, what she felt was like nothing she had ever felt before.
He was both hot and cold at the same time, not one nor the other.
‘Stupid Abyssi, why do you have to get yourself injured so bad, what should I do if you died?’ She thought to herself as tears began to well in her eyes
She stared at his beautiful face, her hand slowly moving towards his cheek but freezing at the last moment, just before the pulled back something flashed from under the blanket and grabbed her wrist.
She was about to panic when she realised it was Aby's hand, she looked at him and saw his eyes open and staring at her.
His glowing ember eyes seemingly stared right into her soul making her quite uncomfortable.
“You suck at sneaking.” Aby said before pulling her into his embrace, forcing her to lie down in front of him.
“What are you doing, let me go?” Eluisan tried to struggle in futility
“You never listen.” Aby said, his voice barely above a whisper, his breath brushing on her neck sending jolts of electricity down her spine
“Let me go, you stupid perverted demon.” Eluisan struggled but Aby's grip around her waist was like a vice
“You always call me a pervert, how about I do perverted things to you today?” His soft voice brushed against her skin causing her to tingle uncontrollably,
This new sensations made her quite uncomfortable, “Stupid Abyssi,” She muttered under her breath with a face completely red
“Thag would be quite unbecoming of me though, both as your master and as your teacher.” He added and Eluisan felt her ears burn as her blush spread.
“You should become a succubus though, I can see the potential of it in you, almost as though it's your true self.” He added, his voice fading into silence.
“Stupid Abyssi, I'll never become something so dirty and perverted. Succubus your head, what true self, I'm a child of light kidnapped into this foul place by an evil demon, once I become strong enough I'll.... I'll...” She mumbled to herself but couldn't bring herself to complete her statement a few moments later she felt Aby's rhythmic breathing behind her, his grip loosened and she tried to get away.
Just before she left the bed she took a glance at him and went back to snuggling beside him.
“Don't think too much stupid demon, I'm just sleepy and too lazy to go to my room.” She muttered under her breath as she struggled to find the best position to lie in his embrace.
Unbeknownst to her a small smile formed on Aby's lips as he adjusted slightly for her and a small sigh escaped her lips.
